New Beer

Waterborn

Shared on Mon, 01/11/2010 - 21:29

Came across this beer the other day while scouring the singles racks at my favorite watering hole/liquor store. Pretty good stuff with a decidedly strong (11.1%) kick.

I'm a big fan of Hornsby's draft cider. $8 for a six pack, but buy two of those and be drunk by 9.

FB I can't believe I'm going to say this but I agree with you, Sam Adams kicks ass. Unfortunately I'm looking for something new, and I have drank pretty much every kind of Sam Adams that was ever available here. I always pick up the Summer Pack and Winter pack from Costco plus any other seasonal stuff I happen to see.

Hornsby's sounds interesting. I still have no idea WTF Yingling is even after someone tried to explain it to me. WTF with you easterners and your chinese sounding beer?

If you like Sam Adams, get the sampler pack six different types of beer in the box.

Yeunging is a Pennsylvania beer and awesome. It is also a requirement for anyone who attends Penn State.

Fat Tire is one of my favorites also

Fat Tire is one of the few beers that I dislike. Thus far Hornsby's sounds the most promising. The other stuff is all good ideas but I've tried it before except Yodeling beer which I probably can't even get out here thank god.

Carlsberg is a great lager from Denmark!! I just had a few Tigers the other night, from Singapore. Or you could always go with some COLT45s!!

Does anyone remember that fake SNL commercial with Billy Dee Williams where the fist would pop off the can and punch him in the face? Cold Cock beer.

I dig Newcastle Brown Ale and Bass. Good stuff

I'm trying to decide between Newcastle(my #1 favorite), Boulevard pale ale and Sam Adams cherry wheat for tonights Skills and Drills. The way it stands now, I may be drinking all three. If thats the case, all of my team kills may not be intentional.

I was looking for something new but you guys are making me want Newcastle. Damn you and your good suggestions. Boulevard...that's something to consider, I don't remember ever having that. Which doesn't mean I haven't, but if I did drink it and don't remember, it must have been good.

Boulevard is brewed in Kansas City. I haven't tried them all, but their pale ale and wheat beers are good.

What sort of appetizers will you be serving tonight? Try Anchor Steam or Sierra Nevada pale ale. Got a beer fridge?

11.1% is pretty strong. Where's it bottled??? The strongest I tried was an italian beer at 17%, but don't recall the name of it now. It wasn't a keeper.

Beer sucks! = ) but that bottle is darn cute. About your other blogs. I always get a happy warm feeling reading them. Just knowing you're saving all those old games. Silly, I know. Anyway, enjoy the beer.

Beer rocks! That's a great beer name. Some of the craft brewers come up with really creative stuff.

I think the beer was bottles somewhere in NE but can't remember, will have to double check the bottle. The beer itself is so-so in my opinion. I would give it a 6.5 or so. Not my favorite but not horrible. Char, keep reading, cause there are many more games in need of saving :)
