Waterborn
Shared on Sun, 08/09/2009 - 18:27Just got home from the LAN and am trying to wrap my head around one chaotic, fun, stressfull and unbelievable weekend. As some of you may know by now, my dog of 12 years, Nygel, had to be put to sleep on Friday while I was in Chicago. Coming home to a house without him, but with so many memories and signs of him (dog hair, water bowls, leashes, pics and worst of all, the void that he used to fill) has been very tough. I want to thank everyone, both in Chicago and online, who helped support me through this and who have sent us so much love in all forms. I came home to 99 emails, many of which were from friends and loved ones who either knew Nygel or simply knew how much he meant to my girlfriend and me. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
I have alot of cool pics and stories, both from the LAN and from Chicago ComiconCon. I will try to post this content as soon as I can. But first I must say goodby to my boy and spend some much needed healing time with my girl.
It was great to see everyone at the LAN and ot make so many new connections with folks that I have played with online. If you were not able to make it to the event, you were missed and we hope to see you next year for LAN # 6.
