In the course of my hectic schedule over the past week or so, I had the opportunity to experience the Jerry Springer Opera during it's final week here in Boston. All I can say is if you ever get the opportunity to see this show in your town, do it. Think Monty Python meets the Rocky Horry Picture Show with a little Beverly Hillbillies and COPS thrown in for good measure. With songs like "My Jerry Springer Moment" and "WTF", this is not exactly a show for the entire family. Unless of course your family is made up of difunctional "3-nippled inbred cousing f*#kers" as sung about in this opera.

VGO Update
After the show, I ran into Shota Nakama, Musical Director of the Video Game Orchestra at Berkley College here in Boston (Shota was a member of the band that accompanied the Jerry Springer Opera). Shota told brought me up to date on what was going on with the VGO and wanted me to forward some links that include footage from the VGO concert that I attended in March of this year. So please check out these videos of the Video Game Ochestra in action.

Digital Memories Issue # 3
Finally, after several late nights spent editing a massive amount of content, I have compiled all my interview coverage captured during the 11th Annual International Classic Video Game Tournament which was held at Funspot in Laconia during the last weekend in May. I had the opportunity to speak with many of the contestants and a few big names from the golden age of coin-op games such as Walter Day and Todd Rogers, whom you may have seen in movies such as Chasing Ghosts and the King of Kong. These full set of audio files includes almost 3 hours of interviews and should be posted on the front page shortly as Issue # 3 of Digital Memories. If you want to go ahead and grab a copy of the raw wav files, you can do so at dl.getdropbox.com/u/769352/Funspot%20Tourney%20-%20Final%20Edit.wav sometime this afternoon (the file is still uploading as I write this).
I would also like to congradulate JonahFalcon, winner of the ChaseTheChuckwagon drawing for the SNES Wizardy Cartridge from the second issue of DM. I hope to have more great prizes from CTCW to hand out in conjunction with future issues of DM, so keep an eye on the front page for Issue # 4, which will cover my 16-bit home console review.
