Thanks to a member of the New England Classic Gaming Group (www.atariage.com/forums/index.php) I was able to get one of my personal Holy Grails of collecting, a Vectrix Gaming Unit.

My New Vectrex System

If you are not familiar with the Vectrex, this system was released by GCE in 1982 and aa year later by Milton Bradley. The Vectrex displays vector graphics on a 9" x 11" monochrome screen that was built into the system. Think the original Asteroids and you get the basic idea. The controls are housed on a fold-out pannel that fits into the mini-cab. This system utilizes cartridges and also has one built in game called Mine Storm that is in essence an Asteroids clone. Though these systems are not terribly rare, it can be difficult to find one in good condition. I would like to extend a huge "Thank You" to Scott of the NECG for hooking me up with this system. One more system off my wanted list

Scott also was kind enough to give me a few cool pieces of memorabilia, including this cool Silent Bob (aka Kevin Smith) Figure. This pic is for DSmooth. How wierd is it D to play poker with a guy who has his own figurine?
