My girl and I went yard sale hunting today and found some cool stuff. Check it out.
NEO GEO Table-top Cabinet
I had never seen one of these. So when I saw a post for it on our local CL, I sent the guy an email and told him that I wanted to check it out. So the guy called me and told me what he had and my girl and I headed out on the road to do some yard saling and to give this thing a look. I am glad I did, cause this thing is pimp and in very good shape. The cabinet is pre-loaded with six games including Samurai Showdown, Metal Slug 2, King of Fighters '95, King of the Monsters, League Bowling and Top Player's Golf. What is really cool about this cab is that is includes two sets of controls for drop-in, drop-out two player action, which is a bit rare with these cabs from what I understand. Though this cab will not take any NEO GEO cartridges like the full-size coin-op cabs (or the home console), it is still a very nice addition to any gaming collection. I got this to sell at my video game shop, but it may be rather hard to let go of this one.
Check out these pics of the cab, inside and out.

Shield cover what I have read is an SD card contolled board. I haven't taken the shield off of this part yet. According to a post over at KLOV (forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php ) it may be possible to add games to this system, which would rock.
And here is a short video of me going through the game selection screen and then playing a little Metal Slug 2.

I also found this other video on Youtube with more info regarding these cabs

I was also able to snag this cool director' s chair for my Robotron cab for $5 today
And finally, I just had to pick up this really cool Welcome Back Kotter kids record player (also for $5). It works, but the sound volume won't go up. Should be an easy fix. I dropped by Comically Speaking (where my vintage video game store is located) and picked up a few 45's from the 80's, including some Hall & Oats and Gloria to play on it.
All in all, not a bad day of yard sailing for a Monday.
