If anyone has seen the movie "Across the Universe" then you will know Dana as Sadie from that movie. Well, just like in the movie, Dana wails and puts on an amazing show. She is one of the best live performers I have ever seen. She played close to three hours to what was sadly much less than a packed house. Despite the small crowd, this woman gave it everything she had and then some. If you like singers like Janis Joplin and Beth Hart, you owe it to yourself to check out Dana Fuchs the next time she is in your town.
After several months in limbo, Issue #10 of the Gears of War Comic finally came out this week. With a story that includes some pretty hot chicks with big guns, information on how the COG planned to repopulate the human race, and of course Baird being an ass, this issue was pretty damn good.
Apparently, there is going to be a hardbound Graphic Novel of the Gears of War Comic Series coming out soon as well. Perhaps this is what led to the almost three month delay beween issues # 9 & # 10.
I have also heard that the second book by Karen Travis, Jacinto's Remnant, has come out as well. You can get it at Amazon via the link below. I read and thoroughly enjoyed her first novel in this series, Aspho Fields, and plan to pick up this newest installment tomorrow.
