Cool Arcade Mugs & New Bosconian High Score

Been pretty busy lately with CITGO, work and planning the wedding (not to mention interning at the brewery and looking forward to PAXEast). However, I wanted to share some cool new arcade swag that I picked up this week from a seller over on the KLOV forums.

I picked up these four, custom-etched mugs for $45 shipped. Each is etched with the logo from one of my favorite arcade games of all time (Left to Right: Sinistar, Robotron, Bosconian and TRON). The picture above does not do this mugs justice. Hats off to kjeffery for doing a great job and creating some cool keepsakes for his fellow collectors.

I spent some time playing my Bosconian arcade cab today and set a new personal high score of 178,580 points, which topped me out at Stage 7. The game gets pretty hectic above level 5 and I look forward to playing this game some more and hopefully continuing to improve my score. I will try to take some video next time I play so you can see some of the higher levels of this game.

Something for Big Bang Fans

If you watched this week's Big Bang Theory, you may have noticed that Sheldon was wearing a T-shirt with a picture of Atrosmash from the Intellivision Gaming System. Thanks to another poster over on KLOV, I discovered that many of the shirts worn by Sheldon and the other characters on BBT can be purchased online. In fact there is a great site, called Sheldon Shirts, that pulls together the various sources of these shirts. So check out the site if you are interested in securing one of your favorites. The site also has a page of the best "Sheldisms" from various episodes of the show, catagorized by season.
