I just purchased a Castlevania game board for my Nintendo Placychoice-10 Coin-op machine and let me tell you, this game is even better when played on a cabinet unit. I spent about 3 hours playing last night and couldn't get enough. I have always loved this game and playing it on a full-sized cab really adds to the fun factor. Check out these screen shots (sorry for the blurry pics. I am still trying to figure out how to take good photos of on screen video games).
I have several more games on order for this cab, including Dr. Mario, 1942, Contra, Double Dragon and Mike Tyson's Punchout (as the PC-10 Cab's name implies, it can hold up to 10 game boards at one time). This is going to be one sweet set-up once I get the game library filled out.
11th Annual International Classic Video Game Tournament Starts Tomorrow!
I will be heading up to Laconia, NH tomorrow for this event and hope to bring back some audio interviews and maybe even some video footage of the action. I may even enter the competition just for the fun of it, though given results from the previous 10 years, I don't have a snowball's chance in hell of placing. These guys are good at what they do. But what the hell, it would be fun to see if I can stay out of last place.
