Shared on Sat, 01/24/2009 - 08:29I woke up this morning to a very nice surprise. Via the 2old2play Twitter Pimp Contest, I received my 100th follower overnight while I slept. I want to give a huge "THANK YOU" to all the 2old2play members that have started to follow my ramblings. I know that my Twitter traffic is a bit heavy right now, but bear with me. It will become more consistent (and hopefully less burdensome) as I continue to build a following. My goal is to reach as many people as I can to get the word out about 2old2play.
Twitter is a wonderful resource to promote 2old2play and our Community events. You can have updates sent straight to your cell phone, allowing you to be in the know regarding what your favorite gaming industry folks, including 2old2play members Derrick Schommer (aka codemonkey of 2old2type) - http://twitter.com/everydaydrinker, NoGame - http://twitter.com/NoGame and of course yours truly at http://twitter.com/AOWWaterborn . You can also follow the Twitter exploits of more famous industry persona's such as Major Nelson - https://twitter.com/majornelson Trixie360 http://twitter.com/trixie360 and SixOkay from Microsoft/Epic Games http://twitter.com/SixOkay. More and more members of 2old2play are joining Twitter, posting what is going on in their world and keeping up on everything from gaming news to contest announcements. So head on over when you get a chance, check it out and help get the word out about 2old2play.
Remember to keep an eye on my blog post from yesterday (1-23) as that will be where I update the status of the 2old2play Twitter Pimp Contest. There is still plenty of time to get in on the action and win the Complete First Series of Gears of War Comics. So get to Pimp'n today!
Now I know that I promised to post Part II of my article on MMOG's and Console Gaming yesterday. Unfortunately, as with any new media endeavor, my deadline crept up on me quicker than I expected. I have to head out and do some work in the "real world" today. But rest assured, the article is coming, so stay tuned.
