Revelations on the Road pt.2

Just to catch you up, i played for a month and realized i really sucked. I took a month off of online to practice, and was thrilled with the results. Now that i could play, it was time to find a team. That led me to here.

I thought the best thing for me to do was to stop playing ranked and get my game together in social. My number one play list to this point had been social skirmish. My social k/d was .72. My intent was to play some social slayer now and work on getting that to at least a one. The first week it took off like a rocket. .84 with ease. The time of day didn't seem to make a huge difference in the results like it had in the past.

My weapon of choice had become the BR with an AR seconday. I found it to be a very strong combination. The BR seemed fairly effcient at just about any range, and can win a battle with nearly any other weapon if you play it smart. Having the Ar as a secondary worked well for two reasons. First, it works very well at short range when your encountering campers. Second, it's range is descent to back up the BR when you run out of ammo. I could quickly switch weapons, and still catch a head shot. Gettig kills with the sniper riffle was faily simple as well.

Week two brought about the revelation that if you keep doing well, your rank goes up and the competion gets better. My k/d continued to rise, but it wasn't as easy to just walk aimlessly through, line up the kill, and execute. Most of my deaths came when i was in a situation where i was out numbers. The frequency of this was on the rise.

Then one night i hooked up with HONORBOUND72, and we played some ranked team slayer. This was a duel weilding revelation. I discovered i didn't know anything about all the new maps. I had just gotten the the mythic disk, and only had the free maps previously. I also got a peek at a whole different game playing with ranks from 15-35. I once again sucked...
