Microsoft Has Declared War

Since the Xbox One reveal on Tuesday, many have been asking why I'm less than pleased with Microsoft. Simply put, Microsoft has declared war. The fact that Microsoft is attempting to cripple - and profit from - the used game market is common knowledge. AngryJason's blog referenced an article (http://www.gamespot.com//news/xbox-one-preowned-plan-revealed-6408850?) outlining Microsoft's preowned plan. I'm one of the very people Microsoft intends to cripple in their plans. If you don't know, I work for Redbox DVD. For a while now, we've been renting 360, PS3 & Wii games. I can't speak for the company (and I won't), but I have a feeling we won't carry Xbox One games.

I can't say the number of times I've rented a game from work, played it, fallen in love, then purchased a new copy. Many friends have done the same. The "try before you buy" policy has become a standard for many a retailer... and now, those sales will be diminished. On a personal note, I feel they are attacking my livelihood. I have a skewed perspective when compared to some (because I support - and AM part of - the used game market), but what they're doing just isn't right.

Anyway, I need to get back... my buddy's wondering why I'm sitting idly in Defiance, and I'm tired of my controller rumbling on my desk because he won't stop fucking shooting.  LOL

Right now I believe there are to many unanswered questions and I think E3 will answer only a few more as right now this a PR campaign just to get a buzz going and have to say it's working good or bad people are talking about the Xbox one
