Good Stuff!

It's been a good couple of weeks. Went to the SoCal Lan last weekend and had a blast. Weekend before that I went and got the tattoo my son has been telling me to get for a year. It's the Barrel o' Monkeys, uh, monkeys around my right calf. Talk about gut check time- tattooing the shinbone hurts like a bitch! I'll get some pics up when I get through the scabby-slimy phase.

The boy came home with a dog tag from the school. It's an award for doing all his homework for the entire month of April! w00t! For all the bull crap that poor child has had to tolerate lately, he's an amazing kid. He's buckled down and really shown some intestinal fortitude. A Dad couldn't be prouder than me.

I had thought that as a reward we'd go see Pirates of the Caribbean this weekend. Then my dear neighbor came over and told me about "some Star Wars thing" going on at the LA Convention Center this weekend. I looked it up, and it's Star Wars Celebration!!! Unless you're a SW nut, you probably haven't heard or know of this, but it's the biggest and baddest SW show on the planet.

So me and the fellers, we're takin' the boy as a reward! Triple w00ts!
