Oh No You Di'int

Sorry. Sometimes I get that Mercenaries 2 commercial stuck in my head. We had some decent weather here yesterday so I went to the campus of Ole Miss, my alma mater, to take some pictures. Spent about an hour walking around, remembering my time there and snapping pics. The sun wouldn't cooperate (too many clouds) but I still got a few decent shots.

Got back to my car and found a familiar memory from my undergraduate days: a parking ticket on my car (Oh no you di'int! Sorry). The people who walk around writing tickets are so anal. I even checked the parking map online and found an "open" area to park in. Still got a ticket. Unlike my undergrad days, there is no parking decal on my car and they can't track me by my license plate so they can just take this ticket back and use it to wipe themselves because I ain't paying!

This is the Lyceum, where the Chancellor's office is and other various offices. It's the most iconic building on campus.

This is a close-up view of one of the columns with the sun peaking from behind. The shot is supposed to be vertical, but Photobucket is being screwy so it's appearing horizontal here for some reason. Just tilt your head :)

There's a cool fountain on campus. I took a high-speed shot to capture the droplets of water.

This really isn't an artistic shot, I just wanted to put a picture of the Grove up. This is where the party happens on football game days. Every piece of grass is covered with tents and tables. To call it tailgating on crack is an understatement. People bring their flatscreens and mini satellite dishes, chandeliers for their tents, etc. When you get near it there is an interesting aroma of grass, sweat, and alcohol. On any other day you can find hippies throwing frisbees or even playing Ultimate Frisbee.

good shots man. If your ever back there, you should try taking a picture of that fountain with a tripod and slow the shutter down to about 1-1 1/2 seconds. It will give the water a silky look. Would look awesome on that fountain.

yeah, takes some doing to get it to expose properly.
