I need a vacation....so badly.

My job is just not fun right now. Not at all.

This month I'm vowing to:

- Take the bus and not pay $8-12 a day to park because I work hours later than the express service runs.

- Wear half-way decent outfits to work because I made time to do laundry. No more standing and staring in front of my closet for 20 minutes because I have "nothing to wear" which is counter-productive to not doing laundry because I "didn't have time." (My arms actually got tired last Thursday because I had repeatedly flipped through every clean article of clothing that I owned. Who knew not doing laundry could be a mini-workout?)

- Eat breakfast at home that actually contains nutrients and not just fly to work and eat a chocolate chip scone from the coffee shop downstairs that is delicious but devoid of anything beneficial.

- Eat dinner because I'm home to make it. No more crackers and cheese at 9pm. (And Dean benefits too, because if I'm not home, he just plays video games instead of eating and then he's crabby).

- Do my hair and not just blow-dry my bangs and hope the rest air-dries in a somewhat normal fashion (that hope is always futile - it's fugly au natural).

- Try and not get irritated the next time I hear someone say they need to schedule a "re-occurring" meeting. AHaHA fuck it. Can't do that....Can even type it without getting annoyed.

- Hide my annoyance for the next 12 people that show up at my cube for "a quick question" or to see if I "have a minute." I swear, it's not you. It's me.

- Wash my face a little bit extra so that I stop breaking out like a fucking 14-year old from the stress. Hot.

- Not work weekends.

- Buy some fucking video games. Hellz yes. Prototype. Red Faction. Overlord 2. Mine. All mine. And then play them.

- Take some time off after the 17th....That is software release day for the project I've been managing and working 60-80 hours a week on. I know that ain't shit for some people and I'm a fat, dirty whiner. But fuck you, you probably "looooove" your job or something. I only "don't hate" my job. I have not figured out how to make a living from my interests of playing video games with only marginal skill, reading, taking bad pictures, and playing bogey golf. Suggestions on accomplishing that welcome.
