Very Very Close to Owning Our First Home!

After a year of looking, we are VERY close to finally becoming home owners.  We offered, they countered for the same amount we offered but they want the terms changed up a bit.  But my team (Agent, Broker and Wife) will review their counter paperwork in detail tomorrow and fax it back to them.  I assume we'll know on Monday if the offer is accepted and then teh ball will start rolling.  Appraisals, inspections, packing, moving, cleaning rental house up for move out etc....  We should be moving in around Nov 1st assuming no roadblocks happen between now and then !

Very excited, this place has a bonus room upstairs that i plan on claiming for my home theater/video game room.  Although i may have to wrestle the wife for it   But if she doens't want all the big screen and electronics stuff in the living room then it's gotta go somewhere.  :)

Anyway the house is a foreclosure and we did tour it first.  There's a picture of the front and the back with the pool.  It's in move-in condition which is rare for a foreclosure and even has a couple of appliances like a fridge, washer and stove.  We'll probably sell that stuff along with our own stuff and get new.   2000sqf inside on a 12,000 sqf lot on a corner of a residential street.  Nice big house and nice plot of land.  Now i can finally get solar and do brown water collection, plant some fruit trees ....   it's going to be a great year if this all works out!

Nice house! Looks like it needs a little TLC in the yardwork department but the backyard look like it has a lot of potential!

Ya it may be a pretty large first house but at our ages, we don't have time really to flip houses especially when it'll probably take the california housing market 4-5 years to recover. So we'll move from this house to our retirement house. Kewljoe : lol. Damn water thieves.
