So the best way I could think is to start small and use a ball which she obcesses over. So i dropped it on the highest step . She could see it and started patting the water with her paws and biting the surface. That progressed to deeper probing with her paws and being able to move the ball with the current it made and trying to bounce it up to the surface. That was the first session.
Session two was this afternoon. It started right where session one left off and progressed to her getting deep enough to touch the ball with her paw and drag it to the side but she still couldn't get it to the surface. Then it progressed to her actually putting one paw on the step and using the other paw to drag the ball coser and secure it while she dunked her head under to grab it.
So she's getting there. She stilll won't put her back feet in unless she slipped which resulted in an immediate exit from the pool. Baby steps or.... i could always push
Anyway here's a quick little phone cam vid i took of session one.
