Well i broke down and did it, i bought one of the fugliest shoes i've ever seen, a pair of Crocs Beach Clogs.  I know i know, WTF right.  I was a croc hater too mostly because they are F-U-G-L-Y.  But my dad called me up and wanted a pair, he's in canada and it was going to cost 40 bucks plus like 30 bucks in shipping and handling but he really wanted some.  I was like what ?!?  You want Crocs, are you insane?!?!  You know, being much like every other person who hates on Crocs i couldn't understand my dad of all people wanting a pair.

So i go somewhere local and pick them up for 40 bucks and ship them to him for 8 bucks.  SO with taxes i think he's in 50 bucks instead of 80 or so like it would have cost him to do it himself.  While i had them i still thought they were fugly but i tired them on.  My dad's got a size 15 canoe for a foot so they didn't fit but i looked them over, then read quite a lot of reviews from general people who wear them around for yard work , to the beach and from some doctors who wear the non holed version during ER procedures where they have to stand for long periods.  ALl of them had the same thing to say, C-O-M-F-O-R-T-A-B-L-E.

I'm in need of a new summer shoe and it's been like 90 degrees here for the past 5 days so it's really on my mind.   Then the kick off the decision fence comes in the form of an amazon.com spam for their new shoes only website endless.com.  They have crocs for 30 bucks, free overnight shipping and no taxes to me in california.  So i jumped on it (deal is still going by the way).  They're here and on my feet right now.  They are comfortable without a doubt.  The holes are nice with the bare feet because the feet can breathe.  The little pebbly bottom tickles my feet but ultimately i think it's suppose to help massage them and promote circulation or some marketing bullshit.  The sole is kind of squishy so it's soft to walk on, it's kind of a different feeling to a normal shoe.

Anyway these are my new summer shoe, so far me likey even if they are FUGLY which my mind hasn't changed on that point at all   And i got black, not some of the other whacked out colors they have like pink and yellow and orange and what not.

So anyway, Crocs.... don't hate on them unless you've worn a pair :)

Meh, never-you-mind all that load of bullocks...crocs are great! Similar to clogs some chefs wear in the kitchen. durable and comfortable. I wear something similar when I'm washing my car. There's no worries about getting them wet, they're durable, comfortable...a pleasure to wear. That said, I'd NEVER wear them beyond my driveway! :smt110

I'm not a fan of how they look, and as far as going in public, they are on par with sweatpants. However, we have a dog and my wife picked me up the insulated ones for the winter, because they are like weatherproof slippers. They are great for taking my dog out at 5:15 AM in the rain and snow.
