Shared on Sat, 07/28/2007 - 16:25What the F#$@ is wrong with people when they drive around on the weekends doing errands and stuff? I had to go to CompUSA and the closest one is 30 miles away, well out of my local area of familiarity.
So incident number one, after CompUSA i'm pulling out and some asshole comes flying up the isle as i'm trying to back out of my parking spot. I'd already looked and decided it was clear and this asshole just appears out of no where and almost gets T-Boned by the back of my F150.
Then two incidents on the highway coming home. One is a lane merge, a guy comes from behind me in the right lane that ends and tries to merge into my lane literally beside me. Like he needs to get infront of me instead of behind where there's room. It's not like i'm going slow, there's room in front and behind. I saw the guy behind me on the ramp and there's no reason he couldn't get in behind me. So i look left to see if i can merge over and when i look back front, bam this guy is inches from the side of my truck and i'm like WTF? ! He blows me the horn and yields to my superior size, that tangle would of worked out way worse for him in his little Japanese import.
Then later on during the trip i'm in the fast lane and there's 2 lanes to my right. I put my signal on to move right to get into the middle lane because my exit's 10 miles away. There's plenty of room. So i start my lane turn, signal on, look over my shoulder, check my mirrors and away i go. Then the douche in the next lane over decides to merge into the middle lane as well, no signal, just goes as i'm going. So this time since i saw it coming, i back off. But what the hell!
Seriously, this is why I don't go shopping. I order shit online. I don't know how long it's been since people here have actually had to pass a DRIVING test but they all need to go and be tested. Should be manditory every 5 years to renew your license you need to pass a driving test. So that little trip will keep my willingness for shopping in a different city pretty much minimal. At least in my own city, i know the roads like the back of my hand so the only thing I need to worry about doing is watching traffic around me, not watching road signs, looking for addresses or anything else, just watch the traffic. It's to the point where you need a passanger in your car to be another set of freak'in eyes.
