SAFEWAY GAS FTW !

Leverage your reward card for cheap gas !

My wife told me to go fill up the F150 at a safeway gas station because we had rewards accumulated.  I guess this system works on a 3 month basis where every time you spend $100 at Safeway you get 10 cents per gallon off the price of gas and gas reward accumulates for 3 months then resets.  Currently the expiration is 6/20 and the next one is 9/20ish. 

So anyway i go down there, it's about 8 miles away so it 'costs' me a gallon of gas to get there and back.  But my jaw hit the floor when I swiped our rewards card in the pump and it tool a dollar fucking 10 per gallon off the price   My jaw hit he floor.  Ended up costing 1.53 per gallon with the rewards taken off !  The one catch though is you can only pump 30 gallons or $100 which ever comes first and I hit the 30 gallons first but the truck was just about full (i was sucking fumes getting there). 

Anyway if you have a safeway near you that has a gas pump, i'd highly recommend you do some grocery shopping there to rack up these gas rewards !  I pumped 50 dollars worth and that just about filled my 35 gallon tank, so that saved me around 45 bucks.
