I've been buying up some HD-DVDs as they go on fire sale. BluRay movies are a rediculous price (so where HD-DVDs), but now you can find some really excellent deals on the HD-DVD versions. I'm finding the HD-DVD versions of movies the same or cheaper than the DVD9 versions which is really nice. But one deal has really eluded me, I want Planet Earth by the Discovery Channel. This show is probably the showcase title for showing off what HD video playback is all about.
MSRP on Planet Earth Boxset on HD-DVD is $99. I've seen it online and at retail for around $50 but that's still too much. Today though i found it for $24.99 !!!!!

Plus I was able to find a valid $5 off a $25 purchase e-coupon by digging around on the internet and trying different ones. This $5 coupon works, simply type it into the coupon box when you check out to reduce the price to $24.99 .

That's about half the cost i've seen it for on sale anywhere else. Granted they're out of stock right now but they've got the shipping date listed as APril 17th. I can wait that long to save 25 bucks.
If you're an HD-DVD owner, this is one title you need to have in your library.
