Aslan Part Deux

I had several people ask about Aslan, so I thought I would do an update. Aslan’s 14th birthday is today. I just gave him a little ice cream and maybe later I will let him go trolling the park for some doggie strange. 

Health wise, he is doing rather well for his age…14 is pretty damn good for a golden. He has not had any more seizures.  The vet did some thyroid testing, and one of his levels was off…so now he gets daily thyroid meds as well.  The coming of spring and his meds have definitely given him a boost.  He has gone back to chasing the ball a bit and has more energy.  Hopefully I have many more years of blaming anything malodorous on the dog.  Dog immortality perhaps?

I just saw your blog bout the hornets, damn! That thing is awesome! Great to hear Aslan is doing fine. Our dog's in the age range too, she's got hip displashia or something like that. We knew she'd get it eventually because she always used to lay on the ground like a frog. She can' dothat anymore . She still loves to chase the ball though. We have a cat too, he's like 18 now. I keep asking him when he's going to pass on because he's well past his expiration date :lol: I like the dog, i don't really like the cat, he was my wife's before we even met.
