Typically, I really dislike O'Reilly...  Can't stand his bullying or bullshit.  But this guy he's interviewing just leaves me speechless.

wow. Bill O'Reilly is a fucking moron. What does he expect the guy to say? The guy's answer to the question "do you hope you get them acquitted" was "I hope they get a fair trial". And people supposedly hate this guy? Anyone that's not a moron would interpret his answer to likely mean "I hope they get a fair trial - but what I can't say on national television because it would be a breach of professional ethics, is that I hope the jury gives them a life sentence, and if available, the death penalty". Believing in upholding social justice, and even giving the most heinous criminals a "fair trial" is the hallmark of a fair, just and great society. And am I understanding O'Reilly correctly about his stance on foreign policy? I'm thinking he means that when some group of people decides to commit a great atrocity against another country - an act which must have required, at the least, other countries to turn a blind eye to what was going on, and not warn the victim country - that examining foreign policy shouldn't be done? Ya know, to try and determine if there's something more a country could do to prevent a recurrence. Well, besides trying to go all "Big Brother" on it's self. Maybe call it "due diligence" instead of "un-patriotic". I'm not saying there's any sort of justification for 9/11. There's not; well, none any sane person would argue. But just because the act was defenseless doesn't mean we through out all pretense of holding to our values, nor examine how we can best prevent a recurrence by finding ways of improving the perceptions others have of us. Uh, this is long. I blame my org behaviour class for making me more verbose than usual, and arguing a point. I wonder if I could get bonus marks for this?

Plato I really have nothing to say to anyone who can defend these wastes of space. Regretfully in our PC society these assholes have the right to a trial when everyone already knows who did what and why. This was already decided by a military tribunal but the Obama administration is so worried about what the rest of the world thinks, we need to put on this billion dollar dog and pony show yards away from ground zero. The entire thing sickens me.

The idea this this lawyer would even agree to go on a high-rated American talk show is incomprehensible. At least he stuck to his guns and kept spouting out the company line about the jury deciding if mass murder was justified [rolls eyes].

I still don't understand how when they have declared holy war against us we are so set on treating them as civilians rather then war combatants. They deserve a fair trail in the full light of day, in the correct forum.
