Just got "Macie" yesterday from a neighbor.  Purebred Chocolate Lab.

Accident count to this date:  4 tinkles and 1 poo.

More to come I'm sure, but, she's only 8 weeks old, so it's understandable.

She did make it from 11pm to 5:30am without an accident in her crate.  I was very proud of her for that.

I love dogs but hate the part you are about to endure for the next few weeks.

Big0ne - yeah... it's going to be tiring, but after a couple of weeks, she'll adjust and things will get better. It's like having a new baby in the house. Well, actually, she is a baby. LOL

Awesome pooch. My only advice, take it or leave it, is invest in a smaller crate for night time. If she has enough room to walk around, she can find a space to go to the bathroom in. If she can walk in and only lay down, its perfect for sleeping. Our pup was 8wks old when we got her (yellow) and she never made a mess in her crate. She is awesome looking, wonderful coat quality.

The Crate looks huge, but it is actually divided in half, and she only can lay down and sleep on her bed on her side. Thanks for the advice though. ;-)

Damn Soup that is one cute puppy. That first 6 months of the puppies life when they are attached to your hip is sooo awesome.

Gotta love the labs. More advice for you. If you have a fenced in yard, separate it from the house. The lab I had discovered how good vinyl siding and coax cable tastes and destroyed our house in a matter of days.

Our house is brick in the backyard, so no worries there.

Nice dog yo! My dad and stepmom had two black labs, and I loved them. If I had a bigger house, I would get a lab later on.
