Cursed

I swear my Air Conditioner is cursed.

For the 4th time in five years, it has decided to crap out on my family again, right when the humidity is at its worst and when the heat is rising.

So, I stayed home today hoping to get it fixed... But, the repair man didn't get to our house until 3pm, and by the time he figured out that we had a freon leak, and that it would require 2-3 hours of work, it was too late in the day to do it.

So, I'm sitting here sweating in my 85 degree house, with all the windows open, all the ceiling fans running, and two oscillating fans running.

At the same time, the air conditioner in our primary car went out. I took that in yesterday, and as they were fixing it, they encountered more and more problems. Valve replacement, gasket replacement, etc... So, I have a rental (Chrysler 300 (sweet car)). Thankfully, all the repairs, with the exception of a new battery are covered under our extended warranty. Thank god I went against my better judgment and still bought one when we bought the car.

So, the next thing that requires fixing, is the computer I'm typing on. The LCD screen has 8 lines running through it and more lines keep appearing each week. Thankfully, I bought an extended warranty for this as well.

But, I'm beginning to think my house is cursed. Things continue to break down even when they are new and in fairly good shape.

(Oh, did I mention my walking lawn mower isn't in good shape either? For fucks sake!)  LOL...  just found out the motion sensor on our flood lights in the front aren't isn't working either....  Just one thing after another.

It's just frustrating to no end, and is going to drive me to drink.

I am in the same boat brother. Everything at my house keeps breaking. Washing machine, 360, and air conditioner. What's next?

Damn Soup, thats frustrating-my best man. ps-dont listen to DP75 as that would totally ruin your workout/training. Not sure what happens there but I've heard of 98 pound weaklings going to Alaska, and returning as a husky fucker!

You may want to call your electric company and have them check it out. A friend of mine worked for ours and said that they will do that kind of thing.

Do your light bulbs last a short time? If so, that is the first indication of an electrical problem as they are usually the most sensitive. You may need to add a whole house line conditioner/surge supressor to eliminate the issue. I've seen the for under $100, but not sure which is the best choice. Good luck! Sucks to pay to fix/replace crap.

Do you know what the agnostic, dyslexic, insomniac did all night? He stayed up wondering if there really is a dog.

Yeah we lived in an apartment where the indoor temp never got under 85 degrees in the summer! I had to actually threaten the leasing office with the department of health as we had black mold on our deck from our leaking a/c unit. Luckily the house we are renting now is owned by a guy that runs his own AC/heating company. Hang in there man..make a list and check off whatever you can get done. It's all technical difficulties, just keep that in mind.

Make sure your neutral is grounded. If it isn't, you're going to get more and less than 120V depending on what is plugged in. Appliances aren't meant to operate much higher than 120V.

Bummer. You could live here tho... it snowed 2 days ago. It's only 40-something degrees outside and that's an improvement over yesterday. I would love some AC weather! You can have mine...at this rate, I wont' ever need it.
