Going to take a couple of weeks to get my BR steadied, learn the new call-out names, and just adjust to the new maps, but I did pretty good in my first MM Ranked game back. 19-16-12. I was happy.
This will also give me an opportunity to try out new controller lay-outs since I have to adjust from COD's button lay-out back to H3's layout. (I keep wanting to zoom in with the left trigger and am throwing nades instead.)
Anyways, I got back into the flow with the original maps fairly quickly since I was still familiar with them, and the MLG settings are sweet. (I love the boosts... makes the game feel faster). The newer maps (AMP) will take some adjusting to, but it will only be a matter of time.
Gonna have to put some serious time in Ranked FFA and Social slayers to get into the groove. Granted, those aren't MLG settings, but they will help me work on my BR, cover shooting, and close quarters game.
EDIT: It's also going to be an adjustment switching from my traditional role of Pure Slayer to a role of Support / Objective. I know I don't have the skill or tools to be a pure slayer at the moment, so it's better that I'm in a support role, and learn to put bullets on the other team, whether I get kills or not.
Woot!
