So, a bit of a gap there, please accept my apologies for whatever gaping hole I left in your lives with my abscence.

I finally finished off my two sqads of Death Guard models - have a look at the pics below and tell me how awesome you think they are. I've got some more pictures, but they're pretty hefty, and I'll make a separate blog post for them tomorrow.

Speaking of tomorrow - I'll be joining the local private gym tomorrow afternoon. I mentioned that I've been going swimming at our local baths, but I've had enough. It's simply too busy for me to get a good rythm going, and the kids that go there simply to arse about and get in the way just get on my nereves - I ended up coming out early on Wednesday night, feeling more stressed than when I went in, so I've had enough. Joining the gym will be kind of expensive, and will take some juggling of finances, but it shouldn't be too bad, and I won't really be paying much more per month than I would have been paying if I went to the swimming three times a week.

I've got my 'induction' tomorrow at 1, where they show you around and teach you how to use the various machines, but all I'm really interested in using is the pool just now. I want to be able to swim a few lenghts at my own pace, without having to dodge and weave in and out of gaggles of screaming teenagers or swim around middle-aged women who think the middle of the pool is a great place to stop dead and have a chat.

Yes, I know - I'm a miserable sod, but you love me anyway.

P.S. My new column goes up today, a day late because I forgot to post it properly, go check it out at 6PM EST.

definately look like they're dipped, but very fitting look for nurgle. I'm curous what method you used to get the green streaking look underneath the varnish. is that physical indentations into the models or a layering paint job? didn't realize there were many 40k players on our site, I'll have to post some pics of my ogres and 40k orks NaZ

Nice work snake! Looks like you used the dip method on those. The shiny gives them a kind of gooey, sickly presence. I've seen some 'Nids done the same way that look great. Not sure if I want to do that on the squad I'm working on though, unless I can find a flat sheen varnish or something like that. But I really need to find something as an overall seal, as my guys tend to break apart kinda easy. =(
