No, I am not telling you anything critical about the case since I really don't know much.  I didn't get picked.  I still have to call in to find out if I go tomorrow.

about 50 people showed up.  I was part of the original 20 they picked to see if they could whittle down to 12.  The case was about a DUI.   Most of the questions to the jurors were like "Have you had a family member charge with a DUI and would that impair your ability to make a fair decision?"  There wasn't any question that I though my judgement would not be fair so I ended up not answering any of the questions.  I figured I'd end up as one of the 12.  Nope.  So this means I may still have to go in tomorrow for other cases.  Either way, once tomorrow is done I will not be picked for 4 years.  I was hoping to get in today and get it over with.  A DUI case shouldn't last that long.

If you don't ask questions, you will likely be picked. And I also found out that during your 2 days you are available to be "picked" at any time. Here was my strategy. I wanted to do my civic duty but not so much I guess. I was one of those guys who kept asking for clarification and more information and was uncommitted on the "fair and unbiased" question. Got ejected -- but I saved those questions until near the end so that I would not be put on another trial immediately. I didn't "report in" back to the jury pool until about 30 minutes before the day was over and then I was home free! Not fully planned by me that way but that is how it went down anyway. Good luck!
