I normally do not get on the band wagon for online petitions, however, this one infuriates me. I know that there are a lot of pet owners out there that would agree with me, if we knew what was going on. So if you have a family pet, or know someone with a family pet please be advised....

AB 1634 will have a devastating impact on pets and their owners, not only in California but across the nation. Please help PetPAC defeat AB 1634.

Assembly Bill 1634 will eliminate service dogs for the blind and disabled, police K9s, working dogs, and all mixed breed pets

Although AB1634 sounds like it would address the problem of unwanted pets, it actually won't. It will drive the demand for puppies toward unscrupulous breeders, puppy mills and other illegal outlets.

If you are still reading this and would like to sign the petition, please follow this link...

Thank you!!!!!!!!

Have a Great Day!

Kwazy's suggestions Dog licensing costs $500 for mixed breeds, $1000 for purebreds. If you can't afford this cost, you shouldn't have a dog (same goes for children, except the figure should be $10,000 for a kid license). All dogs are chipped when the above licensing takes place. Vets shall be required to notify authorities of any unchipped (unlicensed) dog they service. Fine is twice the cost of the original license for first infraction, doubling each subsequent violation. Spay or neutering your animal will provide a reduction of the above licensing fees by 50%, although it won't be mandatory. Reduction will be by rebate from the state after your vet fills out the appropriate form, complete with RFID tag number. If you are found guilty of using a dog to fight, you get neutered. PS. Wow, that's pretty.... retarded. But then again, what else would you expect from California? :)

That sucks. Another example of big government overstepping their bounds. Thanks, Kitten!
