My Weekend

I had an awesome weekend.  Friday the kids and I drove to Olaney, Texas to visit my parents.  Kurupt decided to stay home.  I, being non directional, of course missed my exit onto 380W in Denton and was headed to Oklahoma.  I realized this about 20 minutes into the drive when I wasn't seeing signe for Decatur.  I was pissed.  Calculate the 40 minutes we sat in traffic to drive the 10 miles from Lewisville to Denton and you have us in the car for about an hour or so and we hadn't even left the metroplex!  It's only about an hour and a half drive total...so we should have almost been there.  I thought only I could make an hour and a half trip last 3 hours!  We left out house at 5:36 pm, right after work.  Stopped at Wendy's to get the kids a bite, and headed for 35E..We got onto the hwy at 5:50.  We arrived at our destination at 9:00...we hit some horrid rain in Jacksboro, I thought I had drove right into the movie "TWISTER"..lol  We had to pull over because I couldn't see the road.  It only lasted about 15 minutes though, so not a huge deal. When I got there, my best friend Myste had called to make sure I made it okay and she was telling me that her husband had band practice on Saturday and she thought she might drive up also to see my mom.  The next morning I called and gave her directions and she was going to head out around noon.  Well she didn't pull up until 3 pm, and she had in fact done the exact same thing I did, lol.  We had a blast though, after that,  We drank margaritas and played canasta until the wee hours of the morning.  We woke up about ten, had breakfast and was loading up around 11:15 am.  We finally pulled out and headed on our way about noon.  Drove into the metroplex in like an hour and a half..very nice, though I must admit I have never gotten lost going home!  The kids and I were ready to hang out with daddy when we got here. We stopped and had ice cream sundae's and headed to the movies to see Surf's Up!  Hmm well apparently a lot of people had that idea and they were sold out, so we watched fantastic four instead.  Which I am sure was better for Matt anyway. LOL  We drank Shiner, ate awesome handmade pizza, fried pickles, salad and haley wanted popcorn.  Not to bad our tab was like 40.00...so that was nice.I was tired after we left I could barely keep my eyes open to drive.  We came home and everyone passed out! :)  It is 1240 am right now and all is quite.  I have work in the morning so I will have to hush soon.  Hope everyone had an awesome fathers day!!!
