Waiting for the Big Fall Guns

Just finished up DEAD ISLAND, loved the RPG and open world elements. My kind of game. 1000/1000.

Skipping Gears 3 - not a fan of the multiplayer.

I cancelled my GameFly, but kind of wish I kept it for ID's RAGE. Can't buy every game this fall that I want to play, so I have to narrow it down to the ones that I know I will play for some time to come. Single player games take a backseat, probably ask for them for Christmas (looking at you, Deus Ex Revolution & Skyrim.)

Really though, I must get rid of this backlog of games I've bought and not played: Splinter Cell Conviction, AssCreed 2, Alpha Protocol, Fear Files, Dead Space, Battlestations Pacific, Burtal Legend, Mirror's Edge, Mass Effect 2.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next purchase for me will probably be BATTLEFIELD 3 for Xbox360; the videos of the game recently have been looking incredible.

Unsure about Modern Warfare 3 at the moment. Don't know if I can deal with any more lag and host advantage BS after a year of Black Ops.

Currently playing regularly at this time: Forza3, Left4Dead2, Black Ops (Bot matches), Halo Reach (Firefight, SWAT).

I hear you. Mine are piling up and I think I am up to about 10 or so that I either want to start or need to finish. There are 4 upcoming titles that I have bookmarked to add to that, and with my time allotment for games, I will be long into 2012 just finishing up these titles...

you can trim that list by dropping Mirror's Edge and Alpha Protocol. Trust me on this.

About all those games I got on sale at Gamefly for like 8 bucks. I tried a couple of times to get into Mirror's Edge, but it just didn't stick. I like the artistic colorful vibe. The controls aren't very intuitive for me. Alpha Protocol I've heard good things about, it being mostly an RPG. I've got it installed on the HDD now, so I'll at least give it a shot. Sometimes I like me some quirky games, esp those that feel different.
