I just got back from the gym.  I dropped my membership about 6 months ago and decided it was time to get back into it.  The reason?  Ack!  I was trying on jeans the other day......thought I might have gained some weight.  5 lbs in 6 months!!!!!!  One could say more to luv.....NOT!!!!!!!  So, I went, did the weight circuit, but reduced each machine by about 10 lbs.  Felt pretty good!  Did some cardio, about 1/2 hour.  That felt good, too.  I forgot that it felt good to work out.  But, tomorrow I think it will not feel so good, any more.  I will be sore, but that's ok.

I have worked out in some way most of my life.  I was a dancer from the time I was 3 years old, which requires a lot of stamina, muscle tone, and practice, practice.  I took up smoking for a few years.  Got married (very, very young), had a couple kids, no exercise other than chasing children.  When I started college, I quit smoking (nasty, deadly addiction) and started running.  Man, was I bad!  But I kept at it.  Most of my adult life I have tried to keep in shape with lifting and cardio, and when i drop out for a while, I always go back.  The gym I go to is affiliated with a hospital.  I feel so young and georgous when I go there.  Much of the time there are people there doing rehab stuff or trying to lose weight.  Doctor's orders.  Me?  I just do my own thing.  But today was most interesting.  I got hit on by a guy pushing a walker.  Yeh!  Hmph!  I don't know what he was thinking!  Well, yes I do........
