Shared on Thu, 03/27/2008 - 13:40I just bought tickets to see Jim Gaffigan, the comedian, in September. September for cripes sake!!! But I got pretty good seats, which are of course mandatory when you are going to see a guy who stands and talks into the microphone.
I love this guy's routine. I saw him a few years ago at the Improv here in Tempe but apparently he's moved on to the big time with his guest TV appearances and his Sierra Mist commercials, he's now coming to the Dodge Theater in downtown Phoenix. Really pulling in the big bucks! He's one of the funniest comedians I've seen, and fairly clean too. While I do enjoy a naughty joke from time to time, the comedians who keep it clean really tend to be the funniest ones in my book. Brian Regan is the god of all comedy as far as I'm concerned, because I can go see his show with a date or with my family and not be embarrassed. I once went to see Ralphie May with my sister, my brother and my mom and while we all laughed our asses off, it was still a little uncomfortable hearing him rattle off 50 different ways of saying 'fingerbang'.
So now I have this in addition to the Police and Rush concerts coming up. It's always great having good shows to look forward to. What comedians do you like? What upcoming concerts are you excited about? I must give respect to Baine for clueing me in on the Police concert, otherwise god knows what kind of comment I'm going to get.
