NSFW--bad words

Mini MEE (5 yr old) once again has STREP throat (or has it ever been gone?). He also has a UTI (urinary tract infection)---> with micro-hematuria (blood seen under the microscope) AND trace bilirubin (WTF?). He told me his "pee pee hurts....cuz I've been climbing alot of trees". Hmmmm! Dr. says no antibioics until cultures come back (3 days), then she/he tries to give him Amoxicillin (what part of ALLERGIC to amox. don't you get fUcKtard!!!

O.k next part...."well, maybe he's just a carrier of STREP (ya think?) and maybe this UTI is actually part of the STREP and his body is fighting his own immunities and attacking his urinary system.....blah blah blah" (u r still a FuCktard). So, mini mee wakes up in severe pain (points to his belly button---can't pee) so off we go to the E.R (9 pm). We get triaged by an R.N (instead of an idiot-no medical training- front desk tard). They take his temp. (before we left I get 101.4 (under the arm) they get 97.4 (under arm)---and I didn't give him any meds). O2 sats 97%, dehydration. kid is in obvious distress, and I give fUcKard #2 that stats. "o.k as soon as a room opens up will get him in". I watch all the f'ing idiots in this town check in...and I can hear their complaints HIPA violation BIG TIME!! #1 kid w/small laceration on foot (not bleeding), #2 kid rash with no fever and not in distress. #3 drunk fUck barfing #4 bald chick w/wrist pain.....and on and on. 2 1/2 hours later, after all those fucks get in WE are still sitting there. (FYI----this is where I work, and if I want...I can pull strings and by-pass the fucktards...but that's not fair so I pretend I'm a normal person).

So....BITCH MEE goes to the window and says----"did you triage my kid to be the lowest on the totem pole? 'cuz he HAS a kidney infection...." We'll the CNA/MA good 4 nothing Ftard tells MEE..."there are 4 more people ahead of you now...." OMFG!!! I say "no thanks" and we leave the fuckeD up place they call an E.R. Let me just say this: PressGaney is gonna LOVE my evaluation. And the rest of the motherfuckers at this fucked up place are gonna hear about this!!!! So kid is asleep now and I used my "wild" card for treatment----bypassing the "he should be admitted" request. Next time I'm gonna drive an hour NORTH and go to a REAL hospital.

HIPPA violations will get their admin abuzz fo sho! BTW fellow radiatrix...I'm a CT Tech. :) Back to the issue, we know the urethra in males is 3xs longer, there's no reason he should have a UTI. Strep is common for kids. I swear they all get it. And they offered amoxicillin after you noted his allergies? Hrm. Fishy. Pediatric hospital. Those are the tit! I'm tellin yah. The bigger the hospital though, the bigger the wait time in Triage. And I'm a firm believer for every good ER RN there are 10 Registered Idiots. And PA's suck too. And ER MD's order EVERY TEST imaginable now because they're idiots and pissing their pants at the thought of a malpractice suit. DO's suck too. But ancillary services rock the hospital. :) Good luck girl. Prayers and wishes to the little one. Specially for no ear infection/hematuria to occur.

um, the ones up here arent any better. When Kate was two and sick with the rotovirus and was so dehydrated and sick she couldnt/wouldnt walk we had to wait FOUR HOURS with her going between screaming in pain and passing out on us before they got her in. Big hugs

Sorry to hear about your sons problems. Nothing worse than a child who is hurt/sick. Hope he gets to feeling better.

Dude...ALWAYS use your pass free card. My mom is a Patient Access Manager, and a couple months ago I fell down some stairs, and had acute low back pain...she got me in practically before I even got there. I feel bad for the people that have to wait, for sure, but...I don't feel bad I got morphine quick. :D

I know the feeling, and can sympathize fully. I think it was not the last kidney stone episode, but the one before it. I woke up, knowing full well what was going on (I've had 6 separate incidents over the past 8 years). Wife drives me to the ER, and I wait for... 3 fucking hours while watching asshats with sprains and other minor shit going in. I am literally doubled over on a sofa crying....a 250lb 6' 1" man crying...in pain. And I wait...and wait...and wait. Like you alluded, their customer service and all other departments I could get a hold of heard from me afterwards. On the flip side, the episode before that hit when we were travelling. We were visiting folks near Waterbury, CT, so I ended up at St. Mary's there. Complete opposite - the wife couldn't even park the car before I was seen, and on pain meds. The nurse told her when she couldn't find me that "we treat kidney stones second only to cardiac cases here". Best of luck, and give them hell.
