The MW3 people that is.

So apparently the new maps are FINALLY out for the non elite members in MW3(or so I've heard). When these maps initially came out, I really wanted to get them, I would have had no problem paying the 800 or 1200 or whatever MP points for them. I was enjoying the game. So the Elite people got the maps first, ok , thats fine, I get it. Weeks go by and I still cant get the maps, then more maps came out and I still wasnt able to get the first set. Thats when I really started to get turned off from the game. The new factor of the game had worn off and now I get to see all these videos and pics of Maps I cant have because I didnt pay to be in the cool kids club. So I went out a purchased a couple used games I had never played but had heard were pretty damn good, Mass Effect 2 and Borderlands. People were right, these games were great and between playing the 2, I forgot all about MW3. Now with all the hype of Halo 4 coming out at the end of the year my Halo interest has been renewed and will probably carry me right on to the H4 release. So, thanks but no thanks on the "new" map pack for MW3. Im sure im in the minority on this one but I know im not the only person who feels the same. I really hope this isnt a trend for future games where we need to spend double to get access to DLC when it first becomes available. Unless your name is "Halo" im not buying it.

I don't know... I've been super happy with my Elite subscription.  Knowing that I'd buy all the DLC anyway, it was a no-brainer to pay less for more, and I've been getting new maps every month.  When they first announced Elite I was skeptical, but once the cost->value was defined, it really is win-win...

Yeah, I loved ME2 and Borderlands 2 when they came out.  I do like the new maps, but I am an Elite member so some are getting old already, plus the separate playlist when they only had two maps out got pretty repetitive.  Oh well, snagged the new cheevos on Spec Ops. and still have to finish ME3.

Im with you 100% Matt

I think it comes down to how much you would normally play a title like this. I do love the CoD series, I really do. However I always end up buying the 1st and 2nd map packs and by then I've moved on to other games and the such. So with Elite, while yes it was a bargain, It wouldnt have been if I didnt intend to utilize all the DLC. I mean, its March. 8 months til the next CoD. I dont think they should continue with giving Elite members early access to be honest. Yea you paid $50 for a service and with that, you get the maps as part of it. I shouldnt have to wait months to play the same. I just would end up paying a little more for them and that's fine with me as long as I can play with friends. I think it killed it for both Elite and non Elite.
