GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. -- A former Upstate minister who is now an accountant is accused of using the Internet to try to solicit sex from a minor.

James Daniel Brown, 53, of Central, faces nine charges of criminal solicitation of a minor.

Investigators said that Brown chatted online with a person who he believed to be a 13-year-old girl. He was actually communicating with undercover police officers and deputies in Greenville County.

Here is the bad thing. I know this guy. He used to be the pastor at the church I attended. He left the church in 2001 when he got caught in an affair. I guess he is no longer interested in middle age women that are emotional unstable. He now feels the need to prey on innocent children.

Frankly, I am not surprised he was doing this. I am surprised (and glad) he got caught. He is a creep with a CAPITAL C !!!

What is this world coming to when the pastors are the criminals and rapist of children. I'm so shocked at the events of today's world, when you 't trust the leaders of the churches to lead. WOW!!!!!! Lord help us all........ Because we can't seem to help each other.

I am not excusing him , but he is just a man like everybody else. Although you would like to think that a minister would be above that.
