Shared on Thu, 04/06/2006 - 15:31So, I havent updated this thing for awhile. I just never take time out to put content here. I have some good ideas for stories and whatnot. I just never get around to typing them out.
My wife and I went to Charleston this week. One of our construction projects had a ribbon cutting ceremony and I was invited as a Distinguished Visitor. We let Grammie and Pops keep Connor and went up early to check Charleston out. They have a very nice downtown area and we had a bite at a local Italian restaurant. The food was amazing. I had duck and risotto and Sugar-Britches had eggplant parmesan. Awesome cooking. We are thinking about planning our next vacation in Charleston after the brief stay we had. The ribbon cutting ceremony was nice and there was local news covering it. The building looked great and our guys did a phenomenal job putting it together. All in all it was a good trip, but...
It kept me away from ObliviCrack. I am hooked on this game something fierce. I am playing about 2-3 hours a night and thinking about playing it all day at work. The immersiveness of this game is intense. The world is huge and everything and everybody seems to matter. I get conflicted on what I want to work on next. I have done a few thieves quests, gained entrance into the Arcane University, done a few local quests, explored a few dungeons, and am currently working on becoming a Knight of Lleyewin. Oh, and I have closed one Oblivion gate. I havent gotten much done for 35 hours into the game. And yet I am at level 12. My character is partially gimped because I ignored endurance for the first 10 levels. So now I have the difficulty slider eased slightly to the left. My responsibilities are starting to overcome me. I am never to going to finish my duties at the rate I am going. It truly sucks to be behind schedule in the RL and the VL (real life and virtual life for you n00bsters). Is there any way I can hire a few subcontractors to knock down those gates for me while I catch up?
Tonight, we are supposed to have an OG clan get together on Zanzibar. I could care two shits about playing Halo2 right now. Not with all the work awaiting me in Vanadiel. But I will put that off for another night so I can hang with my buddies. I am kinda looking forward to it and I hope I get to see some friends I havent played with in awhile. Mike James will be working, so that kind of sucks. I missed out on drunkfest this past weekend (I think I was investigating a conspiracy plot in Anvil). Hopefully, the WoW-addicts will show up. I havent gamed with TriHunter in ages. Big Ups to Lotus for making us put our crack pipes down for a night. Lets not do any of those gay-ass MLG customs. Duals or Die!
