I still can't believe it.  She's all grown up.  My wife and I were looking at photos of her walking to and from school tonight and two struck me as being almost exact copies of pictures we had taken in the summer of 2003 when she was only a year old and just starting to walk.

The chubby little baby fat is gone and what we see now is this beautiful little girl, older than she has a right to be.  But I'm biased.  I just miss my baby girl.

did they not let her come home after her first day? What kinda of school did you send her too. I'm pretty sure most 5 yos come home after school. I think College is when they stay away. May wanna check the brochure again. ;)

thanks for all the feedback - i'm just trying to savor the moment because before long she'll be going on dates, driving cars, graduating high school and then she'll be REALLY gone. I'm just thankful I don't have to deal with that right now.
