HD, Birthdays and the things between

So I'm 27 now....wheee. It was actually a great birthday. Between my small group and their surprise par and my co-workers doing our traditional birthday breakfast, it was a good time. It definitely ranked up there on one of my top birthdays since I turned into an adult (and I use the term loosely)

I also got a chance to go bowling with my family, which was for the first time in 3 years. I tweaked my elbow kinda bad, but won both games...which was nice. My family then took us to Chuck E Cheese (for my niece, whose birthday we were also celebrating.....I swear). It was an interesting experience to say the least. I've work with young people for 8 years now (like I mentioned in my last blog), and even with a love for kids and to see them happy, Chuck E Cheese, the joke of many a parent....and youth worker....worked my nerves quite a bit.  But not for the reason one might assume.

I was originally gong to write a diatribe about butt-hole parents who shouted and screamed at their kids in the one place "Where a Kid Can Be A Kid"...but then I realized that my "official parent" license hasn't come in the mail yet, so I'm just gonna save my comment box for other things.


So the 360 HDDVD player came in, hooked it up and tried it out with a copy of Sleepy Hollow....it is right nice. I can definitely see a difference between SD and HD movies and that's nice. It hurts that HDDVD lost the war, but I'm glad there's a winner overall. HDDVD crashing provided me with a chance to get a Cheap HD player, and some "must be HD movies" at a cheap price. So...I'm a winner in this I guess.

haven't played any games lately, the youth group is getting ready for Winterfest, so we've got a big amount of work to do to get our Bus Video ready. Each year, we take chartered buses to TN for a large youth revival, we create a video of skits and stuff to help pass the time. The Bus Video is freaking epic. So I got alot more work still to do. Yank Youtube clips, design a few more skits, film them , edit them, produce the DVD. Yea..I got help....but it's still stressful.


It stinks that Smash Brothers comes out tomorrow, because I want to pick it up and play till I puke..but I wouldn't be able to touch it for a week.

Oh well..

c'est la vie.


Jericho Files 5.3 will be out hopefully soon. I've been tossing around some ideas in my head where to go from here to flesh out the story. Almost there.
