Today is the anniversary of the first Moon landing. It seems incredible to me that on 20 July 1969, as a 7 year old, I watched men from Earth walk on the Moon, live. Not a science fiction movie, not a TV show, no special effects: Just two truly heroic men, epically heroic, protected from a hard vacuum by just a few layers of mylar... We are decades distant from that even now, and everything seems to be spinning backwards. We're contracting in, focused on our affairs here on Earth, instead of our destiny among the Stars. I have faith that the pendulum will swing back, that the inquisitive nature of man, the need to explore, to learn, to grow, cannot be stifled for long. As men and women over the ages have always done, so will our children someday: Move on to find a new home. That journey began in earnest with one small step for a man, and a giant leap for Mankind 42 years ago today. Moving on...
