NFL Draft

I don't know why I watch the NFL Draft year after year.  When you take a step back and think about it, it is pretty stupid to watch it on television.  However, I always watch.  Maybe, it is because I am a true football fan and on this day, everyone is a winner.  It is the one day, that you hope your team can draft a player that will make your team a winner.  The best thing to watch is the reaction of NY Jets fans.  These guys are never happy with their daft picks and I love to watch them moan.  However, this year they actually had some cheers.  The Jets drafted Mark Sanchez from USC and since I am a huge USC fan, I am happy for the Jets.  I think he will be a good QB in the NFL.  I think he will trun out to be a better QB than Stafford.

I am a draft freak too; especially with the Bucs holding the 4th pick and poised to pick up Johnson. Personally, I would prefer they trade down and get Akoye but it's hard to pass up on CJ...

Yep...sucks for us Lions fans...we get stuck with Stafford...and THEN they continue to draft people that no one has even heard of!!! ARRGGGHH! They left Maualuga (sp?) out there for some safety from Western Michigan!?!? Yes, I agree...I don't know why I watch the Draft every year either.

I have heard that Gruden really liked Akoye at the combine, and couldn't stop talking about the kid. Who knows, Calvin Johnson might get picked up by the Raiders. Just depends on if they let Moss go (rumored this might happen). I think Gruden is an excellent coach for defensive athletes and that would be a good home for him.
