Need Help With Designing A T-Shirt

I ran this in my clan forums but figured it couldn't hurt to try this here with the masses.

I am a high school marketing teacher. I have a club called DECA. Basically the kids compete in local competitions and if they do well enough, they advance to the state competition. I no longer get to run the school store to raise money so I am looking to design a shirt to sell. I teach in an area that is very poor so having the kids pay their way is out of the question. What I am looking for are some ideas for some t-shirt designs. I hope some of you graphics people can help me out. Here is my school's information.

South Greene High School

Mascot is the Rebels

Colors are maroon and grey

If you have seen another shirt somewhere that you thought looked good or you just have ideas, please let me know. What would be great would be to get a new rebel man designed. We are not allowed to use the Ole Miss Rebel man anymore. They threatened to sue us. I need to raise about $1000 in the next two months so ideas would be much appreciated. Probably don't want to do more than two color to keep the costs down and profit up.. Thanks again for any help.
