I told them that my experience is that the purpose of a lawyer is to conceal the truth and confuse the facts, and as such they are basically corrupt.
It's a true statement. I figured no way I would get picked.
They made me Jury Foreman.
LMAO @ Dastard. Similar thing with me on a Felony drug case. I admitted I had taken, and previous sold the same drug type as a teenager. I figured they would boot me. Nope.
Were you disappointed that you didn't get to be on the jury?
I'm around this all the time and get to see a lot of proceedings and trust me it's not nearly as exciting as one would think.
Just be glad you weren't selected for a 6 month class action lawsuit!
When I did jury duty last year I was a little upset they used my name in front of the drug dealer we just found guilty. That doesn't seem to safe. I hope Winnebago county fixed that. I put that in my follow up survey.
I forgot to say, the defense attorney asked to confirmation which means they goo through each juror and ask the verdict. They mention your name as they do that.

I have been on a jury in a military-chamber once, during the time when the Dutch Armed Forces tried to conform to dealing Justice more prominently used in other militaries.
It was the hardest thing I ever had done, and during the jury-vote I could not honestly say I found the guy guilty or not, so I refused to vote for anything.
I don't envy people in jury's.
