Ipod Apps and Podcasts

I finally arrived in the 21st century and bought an iPod Touch.  I really don't listen to music so not sure why I bought it.  I saw a few apps that I thought would be good for the boys to practice their math.  I have since found a few others.  My 7 year old loves an app called Pocket Frogs.  My 8 year old loves Let's Golf.  So here is my questions for you all.  What apps do you guys like?  Which ones are must haves and which ones are a waste of time?

Since I don't listen to music much, I am also looking for podcasts that are good.  They don't have to be about gaming.  Just looking for a few that I can download listen to in the car from time to time.  Thanks for any help.

WoW authenticator. It's free for both iPod and Droid. And essential if you play WoW as I learned.

I don't really have any experience with Apple apps, either Daddy, and my new principal just bought a bunch of IPads and wants me to look for apps that can be used by middle school aged kids in math. I am hopeful that maybe this recent change of heart by Jobs will mean more development of apps coming our way=)

Combine the two, and get an app called Stitcher. Let's you stream podcsts vs downloading them. Definitely check out Adam Carolla, and he puts bonus content just for stitcher. The joystiq podcast is my favorite for gaming, then there's RebelFM, and the Geekbox. Doug loves movies is fun, too. Wtf with Marc Maron can be very interesting sometimes if you like standup comedy.

Was going to suggest Giant Bombcast too, but there's a lot of controversy with that one right now, they're splitting up their normal 2 hour show and charging for the 2nd hour, or something. It is a good show, though. Go back and get their show from pax, they read some videogame related tweets from Ice-T, impersonating his voice. Hilarious.

The Bombcast charging has came and went. They're back to the whole show being free for everyone and looking for other things for the paid subscribers to get as a benefit.

You may want to consider The Squadron of Shame, Epic Battle Axe and Radioactive Nerd for gaming podcasts. iTunes U has some awesome classes for free. The 92nd Street Y has cool lectures as well as TED. Check out the Revision3 website also. They have a variety of geek related podcasts. HD Nation and Food Mob are my favorites.
