Thanks to a prank we played on a coworker, I am now obsessed with chopsticks.  I had to learn to eat with them to pull the prank off and now I can't get enough of them.  I am so obsessed, I think I am going to start a collection of chopsticks.  Yes, probably a little wierd but I am telling you, I love chopsticks.

Chopsticks never appealed to me as they are an obstacle for shoveling as much food into your maw as quickly as possible.

Welcome to the world of "picky" eaters!!! The one thing I will tell you about chopsticks especially for a beginner is stay away from the fancy, shiny, extremely pointy sticks. They can get a bit slippery when eating and could get frustrating. Also, I don't know how you hold your sticks, but you will want to hold them closer to the middle to middle back of the stick. you get more leverage and in time will be easier to eat. My dad, old school chinese, holds his all the way back, and I try but I find it difficult to manage! Enjoy! and have fun with it!

I'll take the pointy sticks. That way I can just stab my food. I'd starve otherwise.

I actually have a small collection of chopsticks my father brought back from Japan, many are hand carved with very delicate designs or amazingly detailed paintings. they seem odd to talk about, but when people see them they understand.
