Here in tampa, we have mid day temps in the upper 40's to low 50's and overnight it got below freezing in some areas. When it's like that here I know you all must really be getting it in the north. In years past, this weekend would be spent sweating at the state fair. My wife and oldest daughter are going but I think I'll stay home and game some. Besides, progress reports came out and I have two other kids on lock down because of it. Were playing a game called Prison Life. I get to be the warden and they get to be inmates. It's a lot of fun... for me. Since I'm sitting here chillin I've been looking up music this morning. I've decided to add music to my blog (along with the beer and politcics). First off, can you remember these guys?:
Song: Great Escape; Album: Brave (slightly NSFW)

No? How about now?
Song: Kayleigh; Album: Misplaced Childhood

I thought the second one should be more familier. It's Marillion. Fish, the singer of Kayliegh, left the band in 1988 after making four albums. He was replaced with Steve Hogarth (from the first video) and the band kept recording. in 1999 they released marillion.com and sold their music that way. They have a new album upcoming called Somewhere Else which will make album #14. That's more than U2 and The Beatles. Some say it's they're best yet. We'll see.

Ahhhh..... the good ole days when MTV actually played music. It was me, Beavis, Butthead and a Soundgarden video.

I was at Lollapalooza "91. Jane's Addiction was the headline act. Others included Siouxsie & the Banshees, Living Colour, Nine Inch Nails, Body Count, Fishbone, Rollins Band, Violent Femmes, Buttthole Surfers and Ice T. Here is Ice-T and Perry Farrell during that same tour, performing the 1969 Sly & The Family Stone classic:

I guess the point is, be proud of who you are and don't hate the next guy for who he is. Later peeps.
