TheOneRing.net is at it again. Now they are posting that MGM Has confirmed that it has talked to Peter Jackson in regards to taking charge in the production of The Hobbit. It seems that MGM is going to make the movie even of Jackson is not heading it, but he is their first choice. Helping with that decision was a fan petition sent to MGM and New Line Cinema with 39,000 signatures in support of Jackson as well as 20,000 other requests for the same. No official deal is being reported yet but several initial talks have been had.
