A Change Of Opinion

I am not a Craig Ferguson fan. If you don't know who Craig Ferguson is, he's the Scottish host of the Late Late Show on CBS. I never thought he was really funny and never really got him. Some people here at 2o2play have posted some vids of him and I just don't really think he was very good after watching them, even though they did naturally (you know who you all are  ). So as I said, I can't say that I'm a fan. However, he may have changed my opinion of him. I'm still not sure if he is funny, but I have a newly formed respect for him. If you missed it, here's what I'm talking about:

Good for you Craig! I think I'll give you another shot. Who knows, maybe I'll start to get it. But for now, it's time for a beer. :)

he's right...it goes for any addiction. alcohol was never my bag, but drugs were/are. i didn't quit drugs by entering rehab, or going through some 12 stepper. i quit by realizing i had a problem and talking with others i knew who had the same problem. one guy said something that has stuck with since hearing it, and i hope it works for anyone, anyone out there who needs to hear it. "if you think it is a problem, then it is. and if you got yourself into it, you can get yourself out. if you had help getting into it, you're going to need help getting out, but you have to want it." i wanted out. i decided i got into it on my own and so i willed myself out. since i never went to a program, i took a few stumbles along the way, but i've been clear of drugs for almost 5 years now. i still have cravings for a snort every once in a while, and i miss the lifestyle, but i remember how i used to be and it quiets the hunger. but he's right. it will always haunt you and you will always fight it. i was never a big craig fan either, and i probably won't ever watch him unless it is another nugget on youtube, but i do respect him now. took some balls to use his monologue time and try to help people by sharing his experience. everyone who has a problem, or knows someone they think has aproblem should watch this. he gets laughs, but he's dead serious and so is the subject he's speaking about.

Kudos to CBS for not hooking him off the stage.
