Washer on the blink

Our gazillion dollar geewhiz washing machine broke yesterday. This is one of those super capacity HE washers that can do something like 16 pairs of jeans at once. I have 4 children along with my wife so we generate a LOT of dirty clothes as you can imagine.  The repair people can't get to it until Saturday. This could get interesting.

What a drag - mainly for my Cutie. She'll be driving to her parents to do laundry.

How did people make it without washing machines? Did they just wear dirty clothes?

I remember when washers and refrigerators lasted for years and years. My parents had their washer and dryer for like 15 years. Now these companies put out these high end washer with lcd screens that costs an arm and a leg and they don't last even a year. Where did you buy it?

It is from Lowes. It is a Whirlpool and apart from this issue it has been great. At least it is still under warranty.

Theres a lint trap type of thing underneath in line with the drain, i think, that needs to be cleaned every few months and will stop it from running.

Our dryer was out of commission for three weeks a while ago. I nearly had a breakdown. Good luck coping until yours is fixed.

You can turn your shirts and underwear inside out. That should buy you an extra day! :-)
