Swooshdave made an interesting point in a post on the NSFW forum. Couldnt 2old2play.com get flagged for having nudity in openly viewable by the public if we post it in the blogs?

I dunno. Thoughts? Comments?

I thought the content on 2old2play could only be viewed by members of the site, and since we are a 25+ site, it wasn't an issue.

here is what he posted. I dunno if this is true or not I have yet to try it. But I shall.

swooshdave:
"The thing about posting NSFW stuff in the blogs is that it is not member-only protected like the Not Safe For Work section here is.
If 2o2p gets flagged for having nudity in a public area it can get banned via filtering services, etc."

If this is truly the case Im gonna take down the pics. Sorry guys. I dont wanna see the site get flack from some nice boobs.

Gatsu OUT!

EDIT:
------------------------
This seems the case for sure. You can view the blogs and not be a member on the site. Perhaps this is something that needs to be changed? I personally dont want some Timmy who views the site to be able to take pictures of people I post on the site or copy and paste my stuff and put it somewhere else for there own amusement.

I think the blogs should be locked for members only. For our protection.

And...why do I have +5 Karma now?!?!???!?!?! My neutrality has been shattered! Noooooooooooooooo!

He probably has a point there Gat, we have no warnings entering our site that its only to be viewed by 25+ years old. Maybe thats something though you could post on your blog dunno. Before it goes any further though I would suggest it goes through one of the moderators. Especially now that its been talked of in post/blogs it could make you liable if you dont. Just my $.02

Blogs are public because blogs are that members personal space to do what they want with. If they want to share a blog with friends or family, then they don't need to be members of the site. The same goes for visitors who read blogs every day. In fact, when I went to the Nintendo Wii demo this weekend, one of the Nintendo Reps said she actually liked coming to the site just to read the news and blogs. She isn't a member, but she visits on a regular basis. In fact, there is a lot more of that kind of traffic then member traffic. Things like voting or commenting on blogs is reserved only for members. In terms of NSFW, I think it is always better off in the NSFW area. The main reason is because even if you are a member and you click on a blog at work, you are still not expecting NSFW. If the blogger puts a warning it maybe skipped over after it is already to late. That is the main reason we have the NSFW area.

FYI. We are not unlike any other site out there. When you sign up you understand that any content you post is that of your own and we take no responsibility for it. If you post content that is copy written, stolen, or against any type of law we will gladly have it removed. Any legal action (if that were to happen) would be differed to the user.
