Shared on Fri, 12/22/2006 - 00:53She was going to Rock Hill with a friend of hers for part of the weekend to have sort of a group birthday party for her and her friends.
Her friend was driving. While they were coming off of an offramp, she overcompensated from coming into a lane and avoiding a car and ended up scraping the wall, and hydroplaned across 3 lanes of traffic and went into the grass in the middle of the highway.
They did not get hit by any of the traffic coming at them in those 3 lanes and no other accidents occurred from their vehicle.
My sister and her friend are both fine, but the car isnt in good shape. It was definitely the hand of God keeping them safe. 3 lanes of traffic...in the rain...on the Thursday before X-mas. Its a damn miracle.
We just got back from picking them up. Got the call about what happened at about 10:00 or so.
It took 30 minutes for an officer to get out there after the wreck happened...and it wasnt even a state patrol...it was a local cop on his way home off of his shift. He had to radio someone and tell them to get someone out there... WTF? They were in the rain and its quite chilly out tonight.
Anyway. Shes back home safely and in one piece thankfully.
